IDENTICONS is a pilot Creative Arts project for young people that has been designed by London-based aerosol writer and designer The ARTFUL DODGER (A. Dee) who has been doing this type of work for over 15 years through aerosol art projects.
Science teaches us that energy cannot be destroyed, it can only be transformed. So with Identicons what we are doing is taking what is perceived to be Negative Energy and turning it into Positive Energy. This is being done by utilising various forms of creative expression such as Urban Art and Music, Filmmaking and Creative Writing to explore the themes and issues that are important to young people.
As this site is mainly about the Identicons Project you find information on the Classes, the Tutors and the Artwork being produced. This website aims to not only bridge the gap between past workshop projects and the current Identicons ones, but to also document the progress of the project over the course of its 6 week duration. Regular visual updates will be posted on Flickr, on Vimeo, as well as the Showcase and Blog sections of the site on a weekly basis.
